Privacy policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Last updated Sep 13, 2026

Information you give us

When you request a resource, we collect your email address and company size to deliver what you asked for.

Newsletter

When you subscribe to The Stackonomist Brief, we email you a link to confirm that the address is yours; you are only subscribed once you confirm. As a record of your consent we store your email address, where on the site you signed up, and the time, IP address and browser of the signup and of the confirmation. We use your address only to send the newsletter and related messages. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can reply to any issue to reach us. Signups that are never confirmed are deleted after 30 days.

Analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site, such as which pages are read and which links are followed. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information like your approximate location, device and browser; we do not use it to identify you personally. Our resource landing pages also use Google Tag Manager to measure the performance of our advertising. If you arrive from an ad, the click identifiers and campaign parameters in the link (such as gclid or utm_campaign) may be stored with your request so we can understand which campaigns work. Google processes this data as described in its own privacy policy, and you can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Service providers

Submissions and newsletter subscriptions are stored in our own database. We share them only with the providers that operate our hosting, email (Hostinger), CRM and automation systems on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention and your rights

We keep your information for as long as you remain subscribed or as needed for the purpose it was collected. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data. To make a request, email [email protected].

Changes

If we change this policy materially, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify subscribers.
